West Yorkshire

Considering the proximity of West Yorkshire to South Yorkshire and the convenient, if sometimes very busy roads that connect the two, I wonder why we haven't visited more often. These are some of the places I visited in the long ago, before I had even switched on a computer, let alone begun write these pages. I will try and revisit some time.

Hardcastle Crags

National Trust property with wooded valleys and deep ravines. Waymarked walks pass Gibson Mill with a café open from 11am all year with differing closing times depending on the season. Holmfirth

Huddersfield

Leeds
There is very great deal to do and see in Leeds City Centre and it could keep you busy for quite a while, including Leeds Art Gallery, University Gallery, Henry Moore Institute, Royal Armouries. NB Tetley's Brewery Wharf now Closed. Visit the website Leeds City Council for more information.
