Bradford
Now the town of Bradford is not on my regularly beaten trails, but a place I've been to once or twice. In fact I'm not entirely sure of everything there is to see in the town as my visits there have been to the National Museum of Photography, Film & Television, now called the National Media Museum, or sampling the curry houses in search of that elusive beast, the perfect vindaloo. Now I think I'm mistaken in calling Bradford a town since it has a cathedral and therefore presumably a bishop, so it should rightly be called a city.
Bradford is generally regarded as the curry capital of the world. You are spoiled for choice with curry houses and sweet centres. As these open, close and change hands fairly regularly my recommendation is that you google to find the most recent reviews. I would advise that you book a table: we took a chance and had to wait in a queue outside for about half an hour. The food was worth it, but the staff were so rushed and the place so busy the only ambience in the restaurant was one of push and shove. Punters were queuing round the block for a table when we left.
