I have passed through Penistone many times and I even stopped there once. The agricultural show held every September is famous throughout Yorkshire. However I've never thought of it as a place for a holiday or a day out, let alone a tourist trap. I'm still not sure that I do. However during my various days out last summer I got chatting to a bloke who waxed lyrical about the town. As you know, I'm easily persuaded, so I've added this page with links to the many glories of Penistone. You can make up your own mind.
