Round & About Rotherham

Here you can take a look at some of my favourite places round and about Rotherham. Looking at the above I have realised that we have quite a restricted stamping ground. In fact I looked at my old road atlas and saw that at some point in the long ago I had inscribed circles at twenty-five and fifty mile radii from Rotherham with the intention that we should try and visit everywhere worth visiting. Of course we have failed but then the dog has something to do with that as we always try and plan a day out so that we can take him. We normally end up walking. There are many more places I would like to visit and add to these pages but there's the little question of time.

Some are a bit more than the fifty mile radius. Leeds however is an easy journey straight up the M1 but plan your times carefully to avoid rush hour traffic in the week as the crawl in and out of town is horrendous. The same can be said if you are heading out into Derbyshire - avoid the centre of Sheffield.
