Specialist Breaks Available in Rotherham
Every couple of years or so Rotherham tries to re-brand itself as a tourist resort. This causes much merriment in the national press and very little interest amongst the average British tourist. These are a couple of the special breaks on offer: one espondent took the Golf Break in early spring 2007 and reckoned it excellent value for money.
Golf Breaks
The Hellaby Hall Hotel offered golfing breaks which were very good value. In 2009 I am unable to find any details on the website so it looks as if they are no longer being offered.
Photography Breaks
The Studio of Barry Payling organises Photography Breaks of 5 night/4 days or 7 night/6 days or more extended holidays for groups of 4-8 people with a maximum guest capacity of 12. Don't worry you won't be grounded in Rotherham (unless you want to be) - Barry is famous for his photographs of the Lake District and the Highlands and Islands of Scotland. In 2010 Barry is still running these breaks.
