Rotherham is not a great tourist centre. In fact when researching for these pages I was absolutely amazed by the number of hotels there are in and around Rotherham. Presumably weddings and conferences, together with business customers keep most of them going. Those in Rotherham centre tend to be small hotels, some convenient for train and bus stations. Some like the Phoenix are quite old and last century these were the sort of places commercial travellers used to stay in the days before everyone had a car. I cannot vouch for the facilities available at any of them.
Those I have discovered information about are listed below. I am entirely unsure quite what distinguishes a hotel from a guest house so in some cases I have taken a stab at the classification.
