Dennis Taylor was born on 19th May 1940 at 43 South Street, Rawmarsh, ROTHERHAM in what was then the West Riding of Yorkshire now called South Yorkshire. In 1992 he was elected PRESIDENT of ‘The George Formby Society' and has been to date re-elected each year for TEN years. He was co opted as Acting Editor of the Vellum in 1994 and produced the first colour, glossy GFS magazines. In 1995, he was elected EDITOR of the Vellum. Having published eight magazines over a period of two years, the last being the 35th Anniversary magazine, and having found another Editor, did not seek re election.
