I intend to develop this part of the website to cover people and things that I can't fit into place anywhere else. I considered calling this the Rotherham Miscellany but even the spell checker had difficulty with that word.

Here you can visit the Friends of Rotherham - small groups that operate to help clean up and gain funding for various bit of the borough that need it. I have also added a section for the charities and good causes that are specific to the borough which you can visit at Rotherham Charities & Good Causes.

There is a page dedicated to particular Rotherham Expressions. I must admit that I didn't find that many peculiar to the town because a good many that I thought of appeared in a dictionary of 'Yorkshire' as used throughout the shire.

Rotherham is a town and borough with a great interest in things floral and you can take a look at Rotherham in Bloom which contains some details about Horticultural Shows, Flower Shows, Rotherham in Bloom, Allotments and Garden Trails.

I watched the progammes on the telly, I saw the shop opening in town. Personally I thought it would not last but here we are about two years on from the original idea and it looks as if things are going from strength to strength.
