Rotherham Hospice

The mission statement of the Rotherham Hospice is:–

"We will enable patients to maintain their identity, dignity and independence, whilst we also support their families, friends and carers".

In support of this mission Rotherham Hospice provides palliative care for those patients suffering from life-threatening illnesses and support for their family and carers. There are eight residential and fifteen day-care places for people suffering from terminal illnesses. A New Opportunities Fund Grant has been used to improve Hospice at Home facilities and to widen access to cancer services.

The hospice has a sales area adjacent to the main building which is open 10.30am to 2.30pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Friday. It sells good quality donated goods, Bric-a-Brac, Books, Pictures, Soft toys and new knitted garments. Fund-raising Office Tel. 44 (0)1709 829071 Fax. 44 (0)1709 820413. There is now a shop at High Street Wath upon Dearne open Mon - Fri 10am - 3.30pm and Sat 10am - 1pm Tel. 44 (0)1709 878364. Another shop has opened at High Street, Maltby in June 2006 Tel. 44 (0)1709 815654. Third shop at Browning Road, Herringthorpe, open Mon - Fri 9.30am - 4pm.
