Nicholas Banks

Nick, not this Nicholas I hasten to add, has suggested Nicholas Banks, drummer for Pulp and nephew of Gordon Banks the footballer. Nick knew him at Oakwood School. This is what I have discovered.
Nicholas David Banks was born in Rotherham on the 28th July 1965. He has a BA in Education which probably means that the poor boy was thinking of becoming a teacher. There's no wonder he joined 'Pulp' instead. He joined Pulp to play drums in 1987. He lives in Sheffield with his wife Sarah Banks, and two children Jackson and Jeannie Banks.
Nick is five foot eleven, has 'murky' eyes, and his interests include football and motoring.
His nickname is Banksey (really inventive nickname). He plays Yamaha acoustic and electronic drums, Zildjian cymbals.
2008 – I am advised that Nick now plays drums in a new Sheffield-based band called Pollinates.
