Rotherham College of Arts & Technology RCAT
The origins of RCAT can be traced back to 1853, when Rotherham's first School of Science and Art was set up. In 1981 Rotherham College of Technology merged with Rotherham College of Arts and Community Studies and was renamed Rotherham College of Arts & Technology.
In 2004 RCAT merged with Rother Valley College in Dinnington and acquired Rotherham Managing Agency from the local authority.
They offer courses ranging from foundation level to degree. The facilities include 6 learning centres to support their approach to learning.
RCAT has two campuses: one in Rotherham Town Centre and the other at Rother Valley Campus, Doe Quarry Lane, Dinnington, Sheffield, S25 2NF. There is a vast range of full-time and part-time courses, employee training and apprenticeships available.
