Private Schools
I have only found one private school in Rotherham. Rudston Preparatory (Primary) has been going for quite some time. When I was a bairn the neighbour's son and daughter were both sent there, but the rest of us being egalitarians, didn't think any the worse of them for it. In 2006 I have found another, Ellsworth House: I understand that this is a faith school but of which faith I know not.

Birkdale School
This is obviously not in Rotherham but it is an independent day school with coach services provided from Rotherham, Wickersley and Whiston so you might like to consider it. Boys 8 - 18, girls 16 - 18. Address:- Oakholme Road, Sheffield Tel. 44 (0)114 266 8409.
Hill House School
This is obviously not in Rotherham but it is an independent day school with coach services provided from the Brecks at Rotherham via Wickersley and Maltby For children 3 - 18. Address:- 6th Avenue, Auckley, Doncaster. Website www.hillhouse.doncaster.sch.uk.
There are other private schools eg. in Retford and Pontefract and maybe other places as well, which advertise in Rotherham and provide bus services from the area.
