The Rotherham Walking Festival

walking imageThe Rotherham Walking Festival was held most successfully in 1999 and 2000. Unfortunately due to the Foot and Mouth epidemic the Festival was cancelled for 2001. It was held again most successfully in 2002, 2003 and 2004. 2005 was yet another very successful year and even the weather was good. In 2005 there were 39 guided walks and numerous special events including the Rotherham Roundwalk. For 2006 and later years the Roundwalk Challenge has been moved back to a date earlier in the year as it was much too warm in July. For more information about the roundwalk and the most recent winners visit Recreation in Rotherham >> Walking >> Rotherham Walks >> Rotherham Roundwalk.

There is something for everyone including nature and heritage trails and events for ramblers, walkers and staggerers like me, with something for all ages, interests and levels of ability.
