Steps To Health
The Steps to Health programme has been initiated, developed and expanded by the Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council's Culture and Leisure Services in conjunction with NHS Rotherham, with funding from Neighbourhood Renewal Fund. Is intended to encourage everybody to go out and enjoy short walks in their locality.
It is reckoned that walking for half an hour for five days each week can bring about health benefits and better fitness. There is a Walking for Health in Rotherham leaflet available from your local library or download at Rotherham MBC and look under Leisure and Culture - Fitness..
Some Steps to Health are walks organised by Rotherham MBC Green Space Unit in various parks around Rotherham. Contact 44 (0)1709 822453 for more information.
Alternatively you can walk them yourselves. There is usually some kind of post with directional arrows or statue of a striding man indicating the route. These can be found in these locations:-
