We telephoned at short notice and booked a table at lunchtime. When we got there it was not as busy as I'd expected given my previous visits here.
The Pedant had the famous Milton homemade pie (£6.50) and pronounced it very good. Yunga Bruvva and I went for the fish and that too was excellent: freshly battered with home made chips (£7.50). Also a choice of potato or veg.
Service was excellent. There is a choice of salads, sandwiches and home-cooked food lunch times and evenings (not every day) phone for details.
The prices here have gone up a lot over the last couple of years but you are still getting a good meal for the money.
