There are dozens of hotels, restaurants and pubs that serve food all over Rotherham but for the most part they are pretty run of the mill. There are no Michelin stars, no entries in the Good Food Guide. Take your pick from Indian, Chinese, Italian and English and the odd Thai, but if you long for something a bit different then you'll have to head for Sheffield.
Rotherham Restaurants
I've only found a couple of websites for restaurants so here are a few phone numbers. I cannot vouch for the food or the service, or even if they are still open. I have not included any chains - one Mcdonalds, Burger King, Pizza Hut, Little Chef is much like another. I have not included the sort of eatery I would call a café i.e. those open in the day but not the evenings: well not that I know of.

Traditional chinese cuisine. Situated in the former Papa Luigis premises. Pricey for a Chinese and the standards of cooking and the quality of the ingredients are far below the prices. Over-attentive service: I hid the wine bottle to stop them continually topping up the glass.
