Here you can find a list of restaurants in Rotherham. I have not done a full list of pubs in Rotherham as these are covered comprehensively elsewhere on the World Wide Web but there are some useful bits of information.
As for the high life you can find this at Clubs & Discos and Working Men's Clubs. I haven't visited any of these in a very, very long time so I can't comment about any of them.

There seems to be a continuing trend to open "Gentleman's Clubs". This is, I think, a euphemism, since none of the gentlemen I know (yes there are still some around) would be seen dead in such places. I may well be rather old fashioned but to me "Gentleman's Clubs" are the Army and Navy Club or the Diogenes Club not joints for pole dancing, private dancing or stripping. In May 2011 I have had a thoroughly good laugh at an advertisement for such a Club which describes itself as "Demure Rotherham's brand new Gentleman's Club" with the byline "Sophistication and Elegance Guaranteed". Such sophistication that the Champions League Final and a Ladies Night with two male strippers and a drag artiste are amongst the elegant treats on offer.

"I would like to inform any one planning to visit "Demure Gentleman's Club" on Ship Hill, Rotherham - This club is seedy, their's no atmosphere and you will have to wip your feet on the way out! The selection of girls is extremly poor and in me & my friends opinion their is only 1 girl (maybe 2) thats worth going to see. We went for my mates birthday & were very disappointed. I would not recommend this club. They promote events and a suductive atmosphere & none of this is true."
