Wickersley Gorse
Wickersley Parish council own 8 hectares of woodland, grass and scrub known as Wickersley Gorse. This small area has a number of diverse habitats which are actively managed to provide an amenity for local people and an important refuge for wild life.
I have not been here and, truth to tell I am not precisely sure just where it is situated. It was obviously considered important enough at one time to merit the publication of the leaflet that I have. I don't think that there is anything of architectural value here although this is a good area for natural historians.
