Rotherham in Flight
After some deep and serious consideration I have opted to put this page under Leisure in Rotherham. It's not my idea of Leisure but then, it didn't seem to be sport either, and I couldn't think of a better place to put it.
Flying
Planes fly out of Netherthorpe Airfield almost every day of the year, weather permitting, so if you've got your own plane or you merely like a bit of plane-spotting this is the place. There are two grass runways 553m and 382m long but due to the proximity of roads it is not the easiest airfield at which to land.
