Rotherham Heritage Open Days

The borough of Rotherham has a rich heritage of buildings but for the most part only the churches are open to view. There is a heritage weekend each year towards the end of June and many of these churches, together with one or two other sites open for the Heritage Open Days organised by The Civic Trust and English Heritage.

Rotherham Heritage Weekend

On 26 and 27 June 2010 between 10am and 4pm there were 13 Heritage Faith Sites all over the borough of Rotherham open to the public. Brampton Bierlow Christ Church - Harthill All Hallows - Kimberworth St Thomas - Maltby St Bartholomew - Rotherham All Saints - Rotherham Bridge Chapel - Rotherham Talbot Lane - Thorpe Hesley Holy Trinity - Todwick St Peter & St Paul - Treeton St Helen - Wath All Saints - Wentworth Holy Trinity - Whiston St Mary. Heritage Open Days 2010

Heritage Open Days are organised by The Civic Trust and English Heritage all over the country. On these days you can freely explore old, interesting or important buildings in your area, some of which are not normally open to the public. These are open some time each September - list and details available about August each year for the coming September.
