Animal Olympics
Daily during Summer Holidays. Tropical Butterfly House, North Anston. How fast, how long, how high? Discover the incredible talents of the animals at the Tropical Butterfly House when you meet them close-up during unforgettable Animal Encounters. See spectacular free-flying bird shows, featuring Birds of Prey and free-flying Macaws, and cheer on your favourite chicken in the daily 'Wacky Races' tournament. Wonder at the skills of the highly intelligent parrots; shows featuring basketball, cycling, skateboarding, gymnastics and more, taking place daily.

Letwell Summer Fayre
1.30 till 4.30pm. Letwell Village. The Fayre will be opened by Rotherham's World Cup referee Howard Webb, and attractions include Thurcroft Brass Band, shire horse dray rides, ferret racing, large farm machinery display, historic double-decker buses, children's rides and games, coconut shy, craft stalls and home grown produce. Teas will be served all afternoon in the Village Hall. All proceeds go to support the upkeep of Letwell medieval church St. Peter's.

Kiveton Park Brass Band Festival
11am Kiveton Park Community Woodland, Kiveton Park, Sheffield. The contest is open to all 3rd / 4th Section, Youth and Ungraded bands and the format is an entertainment programme lasting not more than 20 minutes which must include a hymn and a march. There is no requirement for a stand up soloist but there is a trophy to be won for the best one. bands will play in a marquee with open sides situated in a natural amphitheatre. More at YHBBA.
