Libraries
Many local libraries contain some published works about the surrounding areas though they rarely contain original papers. For example Rawmarsh Library contains the published registers of Births, Marriages and Deaths for Rawmarsh parish. If you are looking for information the library is a good place to start.

Rotherham Museum
The history of Rotherham is on display at the Museum in Clifton Park. There is also a collection of archives but, as yet, I do not know what is contained there. Visit onsite at Culture - Museums - Clifton Park Museum for contact details.
