Rotherham Family History Society

family treeI have decided to expand the entry for Rotherham Family History Society to detail the publications they have available to help you trace your ancestors. Many of you have asked me where to obtain details of the Parish Registers and in the past I have directed you to the local area library but you can now purchases these from the Society.

Photographic Archives

The Society has thousands of negatives and slides of places in and around Rotherham. These are available to browse at workshop evenings and fairs. They are also available for purchase from £2.50 for a 6X4. Please contact Joe Leach, Photographic Archivist Email photosatrotherhamfhs.co.uk (remember to change at to @) for more information and prices.

The Society would also be grateful for your photographs of the Rotherham area, either of Old Rotherham or newer photographs of places that no longer exist. These can then be copied for sale to help funds. If you have any images you think might be of interest please contact Joe.
