Rotherham Civic Theatre
Rotherham Civic Theatre is situated in a converted congregational chapel dating from 1867. It opened as a theatre in March 1960. It's taken a fair bit of brass over the years to keep it going. I seem to remember that the roof fell in some storm. The last big problem was when a hole suddenly appeared in the stage whilst a group of youngsters were dancing on it. I think some of them fell in but hopefully all were OK. I've seen some good productions over the years, but not for a while.
