Operatic Societies are alive and well and living
in an area of Rotherham near you. There was a considerable hoo-haa early in 2002 about the Rotherham Civic Theatre imposing large price increases in the scale and scope of its hire
charges as these greatly affect the amateur productions. Unfortunately, in Rotherham, there really is no other viable venue.
