Jazz
There are now several regular venues for Jazz in Rotherham. These are being added to all the time so it seems that Jazz is becoming more and more popular in and around the town. There is also a Jazz Festival as part of Rotherham Show each September though in 2009 this, and the Folk Festival seem to have been subsumed into a more general music festival which includes all sorts of ethnic music. In 2005 a jazz band has been set up in Treeton, called fetchingly, the Treetonaires. They rehearse at Treeton Community Centre and are looking for new members, donated instruments and places to play.
