Music

culture imageRotherham may not have any world famous orchestras, bands, or choirs but musical life in the town seems very healthy indeed. The information here is just the tip of the iceberg as I have noticed that many of the pubs have live bands regularly or from time to time. The social and working men's clubs also have a wide choice of groups and vocalists. Tribute bands seem particularly popular.

Several people have asked me if I know where you can learn to play an instrument or to read music. I have referred them to the small ads in The Advertiser or the Rotherham Record. You could also call in at the various shops that sell musical instruments as I've noticed that they often have small ads for music teachers. Also the Get Sorted project runs all sorts of classes visit Music Projects.
