Funding for the Arts
If you are belong to an arts, heritage or community group there are some
places you can approach to help fund your work or project. These are the ones that I have found in March 2005.
FAIR
A Rotherham Arts Small Grant programme. available to any community or arts groups with priority given to projects developed in partnership with artists. Tel. 01709 823636.
Pioneer Areas Community Chest
This covers groups in Herringthorpe, East Herringthorpe, East Dene and Swinton. Tel. Voluntary Action Rotherham 01709 829821.
Area Assembly Community Chest
Grants of up to £250 are available to start up groups and help with running costs. Tel. RMBC Social Inclusion 01709 822891.
South Rotherham Community Chest
Grants up to £500 are available to sustain community activity and set up new groups. Tel. 01709 837001 or 01909 565780.
Coalfields Regeneration Trust
The trust funds new and developing groups in parts of Rotherham Tel. 01709 765559.
Arts Council England
ACE Yorkshire are keen to advise and support local groups with arts projects, arts groups and individual artists. Visit their website at www.artscouncil.org.uk.
