There is talk of Rotherham's booming economy in 2007 (but then there always is) with some workshops and industrial units fully let. A fair number of new eateries have opened in 2007 so there is a great deal of confidence in this sector of the market. I don't pretend that this is a comprehensive list - just some I spotted in passing.

The Jamie Oliver Shop
The shop next door to Thorntons in all Saints Square has been kitted out I think temporarily for about three months whilst filming
"Jamie's Ministry of Food". All fixtures and fittings courtesy of the landlord RMBC. The aim of the programme is to adopt many of the techniques used by the Government's Ministry of Food in wartime Britain. Hmm – I have to say this that some folk around here have so little they've never had any choice but to cook this way or starve. Saturday 03/05/2008 Nothing there that I could see today.
